Antiquing in San Diego

While in the San Diego area, I wanted to do a separate post on a couple of antique stores I was able to visit.  One was Vignettes and the other was Newport Avenue Antiques located right next to each other on Newport Ave.  I have been a follower of Vignettes blog  and had them on my favorites bar for some time. I never thought I would have the opportunity to actually see the store in person, but when I was so close I had to make the trip.  I'm so...glad I did.  I was given permission to take photos of the store for my blog and I can't wait to share them with you.
So much to look at...where do I even start.
The intricate detail of these shell creations was so elaborate
look at all of these amazing chandeliers, there was bling everywhere
The patriotic theme was so simple, understated and lovely
I could have spent all day in this section alone.  The handmade items where amazing.

I always love a great industrial piece with feminine touches
Any display with old photos is always a hit for me
The garden elements to this area are right up my alley
 So romantic

This place was truly a feast for the eyes, I wish pictures did it justice.
I'm just so glad I was able to see it in person after seeing it online for so long.

I then headed next door to Newport Avenue Antiques.
I just love this color scheme, it is so happy!

Such a cute little setting (love the fleur de lis mirror)

 So much wire, love it!

If you live in the San Diego area and have never been to this part of town, you will love it!
You could literally spend a week just on Newport Avenue alone, with all of its quaint little shops.  I wish we would have had more time to explore.  If you love antiquing then you will want to make this a destination for some future trip.  Thanks for joining me.
In Him, RUTH

Sweet Ruth,
Wow - what a lovely post & I just had to thank you so much for doing this.
All of the dealer/designers at Vignettes work so hard & are so amazingly talented that it's wonderful to see them get credit where credit is due! Your pictures made us look so good!
Thanks for the love & I hope to meet you in person one of these days.
Have a wonderful summer.
XO,
Lori from Vignettes
